AHA has worked closely with physician groups over the years, strengthening the AHA’s connection with physicians through the Physician Leadership Forum. As we move into 2018, we are excited to launch a new era of activities with the launch of the AHA Physician Alliance. The Alliance is framed by three fundamental values that foster shared decision-making and forge a common language among all health care leaders – Lead Well. Be Well. Care Well.
Coming soon, you’ll see an Alliance website with resources aligned to the Lead Well. Be Well. Care Well. model. A few examples of the opportunities planned in 2018:
- Lead Well focuses on the health of an organization. The Alliance will increase leadership capacity through strategic partnerships, a better understanding of medical staff structures and the needs of future physician leaders of the future. Tactically, it will curate online educational materials and a resource library.
- Be Well is for the health of physicians. Foster resilience and well-being through awareness building and system solutions, thought leadership and participating in dialogue. The Alliance will create a knowledge hub and share best practices.
- Care Well fosters healthy patients, families and communities. Deliver high-value care and manage the health of populations. The Alliance will offer learning collaboratives to drive improvement, enhance physician participation across the AHA family and strengthening the physician voice in AHA policy and advocacy efforts.
